On the Road

In February, 17 students died in at their high school in Parkland, Florida, in the deadliest school shooting since Sandy Hook. Outraged, the Parkland survivors started a movement that spurred student walkouts and protests all over the country. In our cover story, “Generation Why” contributing editor Glenn Cook looks at the roots of student movements and the importance of allowing students to be heard.

“Students Speak,” Cook’s photo essay of the March for Our Lives in Washington D.C., includes interviews with students who attended the march.
