NSBA invites you to join us, the Learning First Alliance, American Federation of Teachers, National Education Association, National PTA and other supporting education organizations, in celebrating public schools during Public Schools Week, Feb. 22-26, 2021.
Public schools educate nine of every 10 students. The great equalizer for children, they have lifted generations of people out of poverty and from middle to higher income, helping to set young adults on the path to a fulfilling life.
Public Schools Week honors the 50.8 million students, plus 3.2 million teachers and hundreds of thousands of specialists, administrators, and support staff working in public schools today.
As part of this year’s celebration, we are asking all public education supporters to sign the Pledge for Public Schools at lovepubliceducation.org/publicschoolproud.
We also ask you to post that you support public schools or share your public school success story on social media using the hashtags #PublicSchoolProud, #PSW21 or #PublicSchoolsWeek2021.
Districts and local public schools are all invited to help celebrate Public Schools Week 2020. Last year, schools hosted activities such as book drives, teacher luncheons and organized visits from local lawmakers.
Mark your calendars and make plans to join us in the celebration. For more information and to sign the pledge please visit learningfirst.org/publicschoolsweek.
