On April 19, the PTA Center for Family Engagement and the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) held the last of its five-part webinar series on the PTA’s National Standards for Family-School Partnerships. NSBA President Kristi Swett served as moderator.

The webinar, “Collaborate with Community,” also featured Kim Robinson, executive vice president for Youth Program Quality at the Forum for Youth Investment; Whitney Fields, director of Family Leadership at the National Center for Families Learning; José Muñoz, director of IEL’s Coalition of Community Schools; and Marco Harris, principal of Highland High School, the oldest standing high school with the most diverse student population in Albuquerque Public Schools.

During the webinar, panelists discussed how schools and districts can collaborate with community organizations and residents to connect students, families, and staff to expand learning opportunities, community services, and civic participation. Watch archived video from the webinar below.
