NSBA announces new National Hispanic Council Chair

Lillian Tafoya was recently elected to serve as Chair of the National School Boards Association’s National Hispanic Council of School Board Members.

Currently President of the Kern County School Boards Association, and a member of the California School Boards Association’s Delegate Assembly and the Local Control Funding Formula/Local Control and Accountability Plans Collaborative, Tafoya brings a wealth of board leadership experience.

The guide reflects the importance of school boards working in partnership with various stakeholders in supporting the success of all students. It also serves as a blueprint for school board members who wish to create a better-coordinated system of supports for children and their families.
