COSA Sponsorship Opportunities

About COSA

The NSBA Council of School Attorneys (COSA) is a network of attorneys representing K-12 public school boards and school boards associations across the United States and in NSBA International Partner countries. Our guiding mission is to provide leadership in legal advocacy for public schools. COSA is THE professional association for school attorneys.

COSA attorneys are thought leaders on crucial legal issues for public entities – civil rights, employment, contracting, sunshine laws, litigation, and administrative law. They seek out programming related directly to their practice, and actively engage in working groups dedicated to solving and providing resources on complex legal problems.

As the professional association for these dedicated school attorneys, COSA provides information, practical assistance, networking opportunities, ongoing professional development, and working group opportunities. NSBA’s Office of General Counsel and Council of School Attorneys staff provide professional and executive support to COSA and its varied programming for school attorneys and school leaders. Through this programming, COSA strives to promote and develop a closer relationship between school attorneys and their school board clients. It encourages the ongoing professional development of its members by offering continuing legal education via online webinars and live seminars, specialized publications and web resources, and a forum for exchange of ideas and information. COSA also supports the legal advocacy efforts of NSBA.

COSA is governed by a 22-member board of directors of experienced school attorneys from across the country. The COSA chair serves ex officio on the NSBA Board of Directors, giving Council members a direct link to NSBA’s leadership.

What does a COSA sponsorship mean for my company?

COSA corporate sponsors are partners in the common mission of promoting sound practices for attorneys and public school boards. It is crucial to COSA that our programming remains true to our mission. For this reason, we accept sponsorships from only a select few corporations whose work is consistent with that mission: leadership in legal advocacy for public schools. As a sponsor, you have branding and networking opportunities with this elite group of attorneys available to few other companies.

Because of the wide array of programming we offer to our members and the public, we are able to tailor your sponsorship to your needs while remaining consistent with our mission. Depending on the level of your company’s support, you may receive exposure through sponsorship of COSA products, including publications, live webinars, events at live seminars, or other communication platforms and media. To retain the high quality our members have come to expect, COSA retains exclusive control over the substance of its programming, including seminars and webinars.

At any level of sponsorship, your web and social media links are listed on our site for easy reference by our members.
