COSA School Law Seminar

Please join us in Philadelphia for the 2019 School Law Seminar!

NSBA’s Council of School Attorneys presents its annual School Law Seminar in March 28-30, 2019 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Held in conjunction with the NSBA Annual Conference, the Seminar offers school attorneys 11+ hours of Continuing Legal Education credit on important legal topics facing public school boards.

NSBA’s Council of School Attorney, School Law Seminar offers a specialized CLE experience for attorneys representing K-12 public school boards. The seminar will provide invaluable insights and practical advice from experienced practitioners on the key legal issues currently facing public schools.

In addition to our longstanding pre-seminar meetings for in house and state association counsel, we are offering a session for attorneys new to the practice of school law. These gatherings include lunch and require an additional registration and small fee.

Early Bird sessions on Thursday afternoon will feature topics in two tracks. Previous track topics include: Special Education and Students, and Labor and Employment.  These Early Bird sessions will be offered for CLE, so be sure to attend!

Detailed program information is will be available this Fall! Until that time, you may view our 2018 program of sessions designed by our seminar planning committee to appeal to all attorneys who regularly represent public school boards. This program included sessions on student rights and discipline, labor and employment, special education, school business issues and governance – plus current hot topics like use of personal devices in schools, handling disruptive visitors, religious speech, and attorney ethics in schools.

You need not be a member to attend this extremely informative seminar. However, a COSA membership (for those eligible) will provide you with future seminar and webinar discounts.
