American Health Information Management Association

AHIMA offers various credentials and certifications which health information management credentials can earn to qualify for certain jobs and to differentiate themselves in the industry. There are three types of certifications: HIM credentials, coding and specialty certifications.

American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA)

AHLA is the certifying body for the lodging industry, offering over 20 designations that are industry-recognized in the US and globally. They range from entry level credentials all the way to executive level.

AHLA’s affiliate at the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute offers a 2-year CTE program for high school students that offers stackable certification options, culminating in the Certified Hospitality & Tourism Management Professional designation certified by AHLA.


CompTIA certifications align with IT infrastructure and cybersecurity career paths. Core certifications, like CompTIA A+, lay the groundwork for the specialized pathway certifications, and additional professional certifications cover necessary IT skills like project management.

Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD)

CEWD has developed the Get Into Energy Career Pathways Model, a roadmap for entry into skilled energy technician positions in the Electric and Natural Gas Utility Industry. These positions include Lineworkers, Generation Technicians, Transmission and Distribution Technicians, and Plant/Field Operators

National Association of Manufacturers

Working with the Manufacturing Institute and the many manufacturing certification organizations, the National Association of Manufacturers endorsed an organization of certification programs into a system of “stackable credentials,” including welding, construction and engineering.

Dream It. Do It

The Dream It. Do It. Network works to change the perception of the manufacturing industry and inspire next-generation workers. Members of the Dream It. Do It. Network gain access to national support and resources to aid their pro-manufacturing efforts and join a network of industry leaders that implement activities to meet local, regional and statewide workforce needs.

National Restaurant Association (NRA)

In addition to offering several credentials, the NRA offers the first-ever apprenticeship program specifically for the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industries. Launched in 2016, the Hospitality Sector Registered Apprenticeship is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor and a joint venture between NRA and AHLA.

National Retail Federation

NRF Foundation and over 30 leading retailers have come together to launch RISE Up, a powerful new program offering training and credentials that help entry-level job seekers develop meaningful careers.
