The National School Boards Association’s (NSBA) Council of Urban Boards of Education (CUBE) announced new leadership for 2021-22. Steve Gallon III, of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Florida, was elected to serve as the council’s chair. Erika Mitchell of Atlanta Public Schools, Georgia, was elected vice-chair and Michelle McKissack of Shelby County Schools, Tennessee, was elected secretary.

NSBA’s Hispanic Council of School Board Members (NHC) is pleased to announce Ruben Archuleta of Española Public School District, New Mexico, was elected chair of NHC. Holly Maria Flynn Vilaseca of Houston Independent School District, Texas, was elected chair-elect.
