How to Create a Task Force on Schools in Challenging Environments

In 2013, the Virginia School Boards Association devised a proactive plan to create a state Task Force on Schools in Challenging Environments. The goal of the task force was to collect and share best practices, build community, and most importantly, engage local leaders in courageous conversations to improve Virginia’s public schools.
