CUBE Conference Presentations

Born and raised along the border in a small barrio in Laredo, Texas, Consuelo Kickbusch overcame poverty, discrimination and illiteracy to become the successful community leader she is today. Although she grew up without material wealth, Ms. Kickbusch was taught by her immigrant parents that she was rich in culture, tradition, values and faith. Ms. Kickbusch currently shares her story with people of all ages and creeds. She is doing exactly what she preaches - living a legacy. During this session, Ms. Kickbusch shared her personal story of challenges and triumphs as a child of the “barrio” who succeeded in spite of many cultural, social and educational obstacles.

Presenter: Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army (Retired) Founder & President of Educational Achievement Services Inc.
