CUBE Conference Presentations

This clinic focuses on interrupting the "school-to-prison pipeline" by successfully working with students with behavioral, academic, attendance, disciplinary, and familial challenges. The Youth Advocates Program (YAP)/Fort Worth ISD partnership has implemented an intensive wraparound and advocacy/paid mentoring program for students. An Individualized Service Plan is designed to address the needs of the students and their families. Attendees will be able to implement strategies to address absenteeism, truancy, and other problems using YAP's holistic approach.

Presenters:  Mary Merino and Rickie Clark, Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (Y.A.P.) and Jacinto Ramos, Second Vice Present, Fort Worth Independent School Board
