Attorneys currently licensed to practice law in Virginia with admission to the federal bar (additional admission to bars of Maryland and District of Columbia preferred) or law firms including such attorneys are invited to submit a proposal for legal services to be provided to NSBA.

Proposals must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm (ET) on November 16, 2020.

Following are questions we have received regarding the RFP, with the corresponding answers:

Question: Can  you confirm that the due date of the submission is November 16, 2020? We noted that this is also the date referenced in “VI. Questions” for both when all clarifying questions must be submitted and when NSBA’s responses will be posted.

Answer:  The submission is due by 5:00 p.m. (Eastern) on November 16, 2020.  The Questions and the responses to them will be posted on the NSBA website (http://www.nsba.org) as Addenda to the RFP for legal services as indicated in VI. Questions need to be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on November 16, 2020. Although NSBA staff will make an attempt to respond to questions within 24 hours of receiving them, we can make no promises in that regard.  Therefore, we can only guarantee that questions and the answers to them will be posted by 5:00 p.m. on November 16, 2020, which is also indicated in VI of the proposal.

Question: For II. Scope of Services section E and III. Proposal Contents section D., can you please provide the type(s) of litigation?

Answer:   We are looking for attorneys who handle employment and civil business litigation.

Question: Can you confirm that both hard copies and electronic copies are required for the response or can we submit electronically? If hard copies are required,   please advise if they must be received by the due date or postmarked.  

Answer: Pursuant to C4, the proposals are to be submitted in sealed envelopes, clearly marked in the lower left hand corner with the following information: Request for Proposal, 5:00 p.m. November 16, 2020, SEALED PROPOSAL FOR Legal Services. The submission must include 1 original and 3 copies. They must be submitted, not postmarked, by November 16,2020.  WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ELECTRONIC COPIES OF PROPOSALS.
