Share your story!

We’re looking for new initiatives, innovative ideas, and success stories to share in our engaging, information-packed School District Workshops, Roundtable Discussions, and Education Excellence Fair. This is a great opportunity to showcase your district’s accomplishments at the premier event for district leadership teams focused on the effective use of technology to create a world-class education experience.

The T+L Conference is recognized as the premier national event for decision makers who choose and use technology in schools. It is hosted by the National School Boards Association's Education Technology Department and supported by 15 leading education organizations. The T+L Conference will attract more than 2,000 school leaders from throughout the United States. This unique conference is designed to highlight effective ways to improve school performance and student achievement through the innovative and budget-conscious use of technology in instruction, administration and communication.

Dynamic Workshop Presentations, Roundtable Discussions, and our elite Excellence Fair will be led by school district personnel, board members, vendors, and representatives from major education organizations. The 2009 event will again feature many educators sharing their expertise with attendees representing a wide range of technology experience levels and needs.

The deadline for proposal submissions is January 15, 2009.

Critical Issues Categories

This year’s conference is focused on “Changing the Way You Think about Education”.  We are looking for districts to present their stories and share the impacts on education. Each of the following categories will help further define the type of content we are seeking:

  • Tools for Engagement (covers all classroom strategies, devices, Web 2.0, collaboration tools, games & simulations)
  • Technology & the Law: Keeping Pace with Policies
  • Powerful Professional Development Leadership for Innovation (setting district vision & building community support)
  • 1:1 Learning – Next Steps (all aspects of 1:1 deployment from digital content to funding)
  • Preparing Tomorrow’s Workforce (focus on S.T.E.M. initiatives & new approaches to career and technical education)
  • Mission Critical IT Management (technical infrastructure and administrative operations)

NETS for Administrators

Each Presenter will be expected to:

  • Submit the required materials by January 15, 2009
  • Register for the T+L Conference (up to four presenters for each workshop will be extended the discounted presenter fee; two for each Education Excellence Fair Booth; and one for each Roundtable Discussion)
  • Plan to attend the Presenters’ Meeting at the Denver Convention Center on October 27, 2009 at 4:30 pm
  • If selected to be an Exhibitor Workshop presenter, your company must be involved in the T+L Exhibition
