Become an Advocate for Public Schools

Our Advocacy Networks include:

  • The existing Federal Relations Network (FRN), which has been significantly expanded,
  • National School Boards Action Center's (NSBAC) Friends of Public Education (FPE), and
  • NSBAC's organization partnerships.

Friends of Public Education (FPE)

FPE was launched by the NSBAC to reach beyond our local school board community to individuals committed to public education.

These individuals are typically outside the education arena, active in their local communities, and wish to be advocates for preserving our public schools and recognize the importance and value of ensuring that every child has access to a high quality public school.

FPE is open to all individuals, particularly those actively engaged with the business community, social organizations, and neighborhood associations. Individuals who wish to join FPE may join directly by visiting the NSBAC website at nsbac.org.

Organization Partnerships

Organization Partnerships engage local and state-wide organizations that have professional, civic, or social interests in advocating to preserve and improve our public schools. They also recognize the importance and value of ensuring that every child has access to a high quality public school.

Such partnerships will be promoted by our state school boards associations and the state association executive director will decide how best to keep these organizations engaged and informed regarding calls to action and other grassroots activities.
