Note: You can scroll down to view each of these, or if you prefer, click on the technique of your choice above.

January 22, 1991

Dear Participant:

The Salem-Keizer School District is currently engaged in an in-depth review of our technology needs for the future. The review will provide the information necessary for the development and implementation of a district long-range technology plan. This plan will utilize technology to create a positive impact on student learning and the effective use of staff, time, and resources.

You have been selected, along with 150 other staff and community members, to assist us in gathering some important information. The process you will be involved in will include the completion of a survey and your participation in a one-hour group interview. We need the benefit of your experience and knowledge. Complete the enclosed survey and bring it with you as a reference during the interview. You will find that some questions on the survey do not apply to you and there may be terms that you do not understand. That is OK, do your best. As you complete the survey and the interview, be willing to look into the future with optimism about the possibilities.
