Manager, Educational Conference Programming

The National School Boards Association (NSBA) seeks a detail-oriented manager to ensure content alignment with NSBA’s vision of excellence in governance and advocacy for public education. This position is responsible for planning, development, and evaluation of all educational programming for NSBA’s national Annual Conference. This position will also ensure the program quality, promotion, and on-site delivery of assigned conferences, meetings, and events are in alignment with NSBA meeting and event objectives.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Experience designing and delivering adult educational programming; excellent project management, conference program and event planning, and meeting management; and excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with content management and databases.

Preferred qualifications: Presentation/Facilitation/Course Development skills and experience highly desirable. Certification in Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Certified Meeting Manager (CMM), Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) or Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM); experience in dealing with issues related to K-12 education; webinar and learning management systems experience.
