Requirements

Full-conference press passes will be will be given to all those that qualify as members of the Press. To qualify for a press pass, you must be affiliated with a nationally or regionally recognized media outlet, and/or hold an editorial title. You do not qualify for press credentials if you are a representative of a personal website.

NSBA reserves the right to screen all requests, including on-site registration, and if necessary, refuse registration to individuals who do not qualify. NSBA also reserves the right to grant limited media registrations to publications/organizations qualifying for press credentials.

As a member of the working press attending the NSBA Annual Conference, you have full access to:

  • Exhibit halls
  • Keynote addresses
  • Press conferences
  • All conference forums and conference sessions

Photography

To ensure the safety of everyone attending the Conference, please adhere to the following photography guidelines:

  • Only cordless cameras are allowed on the Exhibit Floor
  • No flash cameras during any keynote address

Registration Information

Pre-registration is encouraged. Upon completion of the press registration form, your information will be reviewed and your registration approved or denied. Upon approval, NSBA will complete the conference registration for you and you will receive an e-mail notification with a confirmation letter of registration.

If you have pre-registered for either the CUBE Site Visit or the School Law Seminar (March 27 events), your press credentials will be available at the registration desk for that event (see hotel map for location).

Beginning March 28, if you have pre-registered, proceed to the NSBA Registration Area upon your arrival. Located alphabetically by your last name, your registration packet (including your press badge) will be there. To expedite your registration pickup, have your press credentials and the NSBA registration confirmation letter with you.

NSBA Advanced Registration Hours:

  • Thursday, March 27: Closed
  • Friday, March 28: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Saturday, March 29: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Sunday, March 30: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Monday, March 31: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday, April 1: Closed

For on-site Press Registration, proceed to the NSBA Press Office, West Concourse, West Building, Room W206A. You will need to complete an on-site form and provide press credentials to the NSBA staff. Once completed and verified, NSBA staff will provide you with a press pass for the conference.

Acceptable credentials should include one of the following items:

  • Your media outlet's masthead, stationary or business card, with your name and title;
  • A by-lined article written by you, and published within the last year;
  • Freelance journalists, photographers, or videographers can present a press membership card; or
  • A letter listing you as a reviewer for a recognized publication on their stationary.

  • Thursday, March 27: Closed
  • Friday, March 28: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Saturday, March 29: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Sunday, March 30: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Monday, March 31: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday, April 1: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Please note: All NSBA press passes must be obtained on-site. You may be required to show a valid photo ID to obtain your press pass. Meal functions require meal tickes purchased at the NSBA registration desk
