Exhibition of School Architecture

While visiting the Exhibit Hall, don't miss this showcase of outstanding school design. Discover how school architecture is responding to today's challenges, including overcrowding, aging facilities and today's need for technology. Displays include photos, blueprints, and color scale renderings of the schools of the future — your future!

Criteria

In selecting entries for the exhibition, the jury will give prime consideration to the architectural solution of the stated educational program requirements. The design solution should be uniquely adapted to the educational program and should clearly reflect the challenge presented and how the architect met this challenge in the response to function and aesthetics. Specifically, the jury will give consideration to the following:

  • response to educational program
  • organization of instructional areas
  • flexibility
  • technology systems
  • community use
  • site development
  • overall presentation

Schedule

  • August 31, 2007: Entry forms mailed to prospective exhibitors
  • November 30, 2007: Entry forms due in NSBA office
  • December 20, 2007: PowerPoint entry submissions due in NSBA office
  • January 15 & 16, 2008: Jury meeting in NSBA office
  • March 19, 2008: Final exhibits due in Orlando
  • March 29, 2008: Orlando exhibition on display
