Runners: join the foundation's 5K
03/08 -- Take a “fitness break” at the NSBA Annual Conference -- while also helping a worthy cause -- by running in the National School Boards Foundation’s eighth annual 5K Run/ Walk.
The 3.1 mile-run will take place on Sunday, March 30, 7:30 a.m., at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake.
All proceeds from the race benefit NSBA’s Center for Public Education, the one-stop source for reliable and unbiased information and analysis about public education.
Winners in each category will receive prizes, and all participants will receive T-shirts, hats, and other items.
The foundation appreciates the generous support from the sponsors of this year’s 5K: Brokers’ Risk Placement Service Inc., Hogan & Hartson LLP, Pearson Education, Sodexho, Nova Southeastern University, and McGraw-Hill. Additional support was provided by ARAMARK Education and Apple Inc.
The entry fee is $40. There is no charge for children under 13. You can register for the 5K online, at www.nsba.org/conference/5K, until midnight on March 27.
