Life on a School Board

“Life on a School Board” is designed to celebrate the hard work and dedication of those who serve the local school district and community.  Our goal is to help new school board members understand the excitement, successes and challenges experienced while serving on a school board.  Listen below as various school board members share their reasons for joining their local school board.

In the April 1999 issue of New Horizons for Learning Journal, Michale Gabriel defines storytelling  - “stories...comfort, they nurture, they capture our imaginations, they ignite our creativity, they take us away to a place where time stands still.  They invest our lives with meaning, and render our lives more meaningful."  We think that “Life on a School Board” can make such a difference.
