NSBA’s Advocacy Team not only carries the needs and concerns of local school leaders to the decision makers in Congress, to the White House and before the federal courts; it also provides opportunities for you to connect directly.  NSBA’s advocacy initiatives promote appropriate federal funding for local school districts, oppose voucher initiatives, protect the school board's role from Congressional attacks, and promote the role of school boards as a key democratic institution in our nation’s public education system.
