Susan Campbell
President

Susan Campbell has been a member of the Augusta Board of Education since 2001.  Since joining the Board, Sue has worked on a variety of committees and chaired Finance, Personnel, Negotiations, and Facilities to name a few. She has been on the Maine School Board Association’s board of directors since 2004.

Sue is Vice President and co-founder of Soft Trac LLC,  a consulting firm that specializes in helping nonprofit and government agencies operate more effectively and increase productivity by providing various software solutions and services including performance management, fundraising, fund accounting, payroll and document management.

Sue lives in Augusta, Maine with her husband and two children.

Dale A. Douglass
Executive Director

Dale A. Douglass has served as Executive Director of the Maine School Boards Association (MSBA) and Maine School Management Association (MSMA) since January 1997.  Maine has an umbrella organization, MSMA, that provides administrative services to both the Maine School Boards Association and the Maine School Superintendents Association with the MSBA Executive Director also serving as Executive Director of the Maine School Management Association.  This organizational configuration has been in existence since 1971.  Prior to his appointment to the Executive Director positions, he served as the Associate Executive Director of MSMA and Executive Director of the MSSA.

Douglass is a former superintendent of schools in Brunswick, Maine, and School Union #34 (Hermon and Glenburn).  He started his professional career as a social studies teacher before becoming a junior high school and elementary school principal.  He has also served as the Director of Federal, State and Local Relations for the Maine Department of Education.

At the community level, Doughlass has served as a member and chair of the Hermon Town Council and President of the Board of Directors for the Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick. 

Douglass and Natalie have two daughters, Kimberly, a school psychologist in Massachusetts, and Karen, an attorney in Portland, Maine.
