Dr. Frank A. Bush

Dr. Frank Bush, prior to joining ISBA, served as a high school social studies teacher and coach for three years, a secondary school counselor for three years, a secondary administrator for four years, an adjunct university professor for eight years part-time while employed as a superintendent of schools for twelve years. Bush received degrees from Indiana State University (BS-1965), Western Kentucky University (MA-1967) and Indiana University (EdD-1976).

As executive director, Bush represents the membership of ISBA on numerous state committees and advisory commissions. The mixture of educational background and practical public school experience allows him to respond well to the concerns of local school boards.

Bush is the chief lobbyist for the ISBA at the Indiana General Assembly. In this capacity, he is in direct communication with legislators and with the standing committees of the General Assembly.

As executive director, he coordinates and supervises the activities of the ISBA staff. And, he is responsible for general Association business and concerns.
