Robert Friend
In his third term on the Lombard Elementary School District #44 school board, Robert Friend shares his years of experience with elections, referendums and budgets. In this segment, Robert discusses the high points and valleys of being a board member. You’ll hear how his school district’s motto “Remember the Children” serves as an encouraging reminder for him and other board members.
As a recipient of the NSBA distinguished service award, Robert’s advice is to, “learn and listen, be active in state groups and wherever you can. You are responsible for the children and a lot of community dollars”. Robert has always focused on the children in his service to education. Once you hear his story you will be inspired.
