The NIH Condom Report: The Glass is 90% Full
Abstract:On July 20, 2001, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) released its report on condom effectiveness. This report summarized a workshop held more than 13 months previously, in June 2000, to evaluate the scientific evidence on condom effectiveness for preventing sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The workshop and the report were generally modeled on the NIH consensus conference approach. The effort originated as a result of a congressional request.
