About FRN

The National School Boards Association’s Federal Relations Network (FRN) involves local school board members like you from every congressional district in the country who are committed to grassroots advocacy for public education. The FRN gives you an opportunity to make a difference in the education of our nation’s public schoolchildren. Your responsibilities as an FRN member are significant. During the course of a year, you will receive vital information concerning federal education legislation and national issues — what’s current, what’s proposed, and how it helps or hinders our public schools. You and your network colleagues will exercise your power as grassroots advocates by telling federal policy-makers what works and what does not in the more than 15,000 local school districts. The ultimate goal of your FRN advocacy is to make public education a top priority of the federal government.
