Advocacy Action Plan: A Federal Investment in Education

This advocacy toolkit provides a variety of resources that will be useful to you as an advocate in the coming months, with: (1) fiscal year 2010 appropriations pending, (2) the distribution and implementation of stimulus dollars from ARRA, and (3) a continued push for Congress to reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), last authorized as the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). You will also find resources to (4) encourage a federal investment in early childhood education through voluntary preschool programs and (5) ensure that school districts continue to receive funds for education technology through the E-Rate program.

NSBA needs your help to urge Congress to provide a continued federal investment in education.
